Algebra Parents: I am no longer tutoring on Tuesdays after school. Instead, the township is expanding it's MAC Online program to include middle school Algebra. MAC stands for Math Achievement Center. Instead of after school for an hour for only my own students, I will be online on Monday evenings from 89pm for ALL middle school Algebra students. Parents and Students: I wanted to take a moment and thank everyone who helped with this year's Ultimate Pi Day Celebration. We had a fun day and got to eat some delicious pie thanks to your generosity. Our contest winner was Cora who memorized 150 decimal places of pi. Students will be starting a new unit on Monday so be sure to ask them about homework and help them manage their time and stay on track. And if I don't send another message before, have a great Spring Break!! Mr. Harker...

This is your friendly Pi Day reminder. If you volunteered to send in an apple/pumpkin pie, or drinks, we need them either Thursday anytime, or Friday morning. We are still in need of a parent from period 2 to donate 14 drinks. We have one parent bringing in for half the class, so we need the other half donated. Water bottles, caprisun, juice boxes, or something else that is small and individual, that can be handed out quickly and disposed of easily. Thank you!!! Mr. Harker ...

Parents and students, Pi Day is almost here! Every year on March 14 (3/14) we celebrate Pi Day in my classroom. Pi is 3.1415926, and every year on 3/14 at 1:59 and 26 seconds we get to give a shout out to an amazing number and celebrate 7 decimal places of pi with the date and time. THIS YEAR is the Pi Day of the century, because THIS YEAR we get to celebrate Pi Day on 3/14/15 at 9:26 and 53 seconds, getting a full 9 decimal places in!!! It's very exciting for math geeks like myself. &nbs...
